CMC has been awarded the design and construction of a 25,000 square foot greenfield facility for NPC Processing. NPC Processing is a value-added USDA meat processor that performs beef and poultry portion control meat cutting for the food service industry. NPC also manufactures numerous meat products including sausages, bacon, and rashers as well as a line of ready-to-eat (RTE) food products that are currently produced at a second facility, Custom Food Products in Middlebury, VT.
The new 25,000 square foot USDA processing facility will combine the operations of NPC Processing and Custom Food Products into one location with segregated processing areas for beef, poultry, and RTE products. CMC collaborated with the NPC management to develop a plant layout that will increase the company’s efficiency, maintain proper food safety standards, and allow NPC to continue it’s rapid growth.
