CMC Design-Build provided design, engineering and construction services for Associated Grocers of New England’s 375,000 square foot greenfield facility.
CMC performed a feasibility study to evaluate the options of renovating AGNE’s existing facility versus building a new greenfield facility. AGNE’s historical sales and inventory data analyzed and then CMC sized the optimal facility using future volume and item growth projections. The results of the analysis were then applied to both the existing facility and the greenfield option. Based upon CMC’s incremental, internal rate of return modeling, the greenfield option was chosen.
The new facility handles dry grocery, frozen, perishables, candy, tobacco and HBC/GM. It also houses all of AGNE’s corporate offices and AGNE’s truck maintenance operations.
