A 19,500 SF Foodservice Distribution Facility Expansion and Renovation.
CMC was selected to develop a masterplan for Colony Foods’ existing facility that would allow for multi-phased expansion as the company continues to grow.
The master plan was complicated by the facility’s urban location and the need to minimize disruptions to the existing operation during each potential expansion.
After the master plan was developed, CMC designed and constructed Phase 1, a 19,500 square foot expansion. The expansion included a refrigerated shipping dock with seven dock doors and two doors for customer pickup. Freezer and cooler storage areas were also constructed as part of Phase 1.
The project also included the renovation of the existing facility including the installation of sprinkler systems throughout the entire facility.
