Blount Fine Foods is a leading processor of fresh and frozen soups and prepared seafood products serving the retail grocery and foodservice industries. Due to company growth, Blount purchased a dry warehouse facility in Fall River, MA and commissioned CMC to provide turnkey design/build services including process engineering, facility engineering and construction services.
An existing 30,000 SF building was renovated and expanded to create a 60,000 SF state-of-the-art seafood processing facility. The plant included a new spiral freezer, steam distribution system, kettles, and tumble chillers, new thawing rooms and a new cold storage facility. The existing office area was renovated to include offices, employee amenities and a R&D pilot kitchen.
